PLEASE NOTE: Our braided stainless cable kits are optimized for metric fitments and include fittings appropriate for Yamaha type controls, which may not be suitable for non-metric applications. Please refer to kit specs below to determine if this kit will work for your application
The conduit is Teflon lined ral wound steel covered with PVC, then our stainless braid, which is then coated by a crystal clear PVC protective coating.
The Teflon liner provides smooth action and zero maintenance & the wire is galvanized steel for long life and easy soldering.
Product Description
High-quality, “build-your-own” cable kit suitable for any motorcycle throttle application. One end of the inner wire is fitted with a barrel nipple (nominally 6mm dia x 6mm). The opposite end will need to be cut to length and the required nipple soldered into place. PLEASE NOTE: We strongly discourage the use of a propane type torch to heat and flow solder into the wire. This is likely to overheat the wire, causing it to become brittle and break. We recommend immersing the wire ends in a molten solder bath, such as that in a solder pot. The chrome ferrules and bends are a snug fit. They may be bonded into place if preferred.
