The Rival Components BMW F750 GS F850 GS skid plate is made from 3/16 of an inch 5052 aluminum with a dual stage powder coated finish. The skid plate is securely mounted to the bottom of the engine using powder coated steel brackets. The Rival Components skid plate offers more coverage and durability than the factory installed plate. The factory BMW skid plate offers minimal coverage using a small plastic skid plate that offers little in the way of protection. The Rival Components skid plate covers all the important parts on the bottom of the bike including the two exhaust pipes at the front of the bike with an aluminum skid plate designed to take some abuse. All seams are welded inside and out to provide maximum strength. Designed for a no hassle bolt on installation making it a snap to remove and reinstall for service and maintenance. The skid plate features an oil drain hole in the skid plate so you can change the oil without having to drop the skid plate. Installation instructions and all mounting hardware included.
